SMACE, founded by Andrea Droghetti and Marta Romero, was created to favour the recovery of work-life balance by selecting the best accommodation facilities that can guarantee remote working activities and the experience of being in a wonderful place. In a word, the perfect "workation". From the first week of lockdown, on StartupItalia they talked about the unprecedented smart working experience that we as Italians would have faced. Things have changed a year and a half after the outbreak of the pandemic. There are those who have returned to the office, there are those who have discovered the hybrid way of working - a little at home, a little in the office - and then there are also those who have revolutionized their daily life thanks to a job that allows it to be operational anywhere. Just there is a good connection. The start-up ecosystem has obviously understood the new needs. Smace, is an innovative company and Smart Work in a Smart Place is its motto. In fact, the portal provides locations for digital nomads or companies who want to disconnect from the urban routine to spend some time in a new dimension. Being sustainable has always been a fundamental requirement for SMACE. For this reason, they are committed, thanks to UP2Y, to continuously cancel the already reduced environmental impact that our actions have in order to guarantee you the best work experience in the most beautiful places in Italy. The start-up's project aims to aggregate a catalogue of over 200 locations, preferring places far from big cities. In this off-course Italy, smart working has many hidden possibilities. There are residences, spaces in historic villages, rooms in luxury villas. All the offers proposed on the platform are chosen by the start-up on the basis of its Smace workability index, a score that takes into account dozens of parameters usually not considered by traditional sites and indicators. All, they point out, integrated with the main corporate welfare platforms. Smace's medium-term objectives aim to positively affect the well-being of workers and improve the work-life balance. This is achieved through an office service spread across the territory that exploits the 'tourist infrastructure, seasonally adjusting it, and enhancing villages and rural communities, also through the PNRR, as ideal places for work and cultural innovation.

Grassroots Volunteering was founded in 2011 by Shannon O’Donnell as a way to decommodify the volunteerism industry. The idea for GV was born in 2008, when Shannon travelled around the world for a year, volunteering along the way, and envisioned a site freely offering service-minded travellers easy ways to support the places they travel. The site grew to help travellers access ethical and sustainable service-minded projects that fit their definition of giving back. For some travellers, this means long-term volunteering, while others prefer to support locally run initiatives (like restaurants and boutiques with underlying social missions). No matter what service means to the traveller, GV facilitates meaningful connections between travellers and local causes and communities. A husband-wife team from Utah offered the coding and website design work that brought the site into reality in 2011, and Hannah donated logo design work to round out the website. O’Donnell solely vetted the organizations in the GV database until 2013, when GV Ambassadors began mapping the world and expanding the project into every country and continent. Since then, Grassroots Volunteering is a resource to connect travellers to causes and communities in the places they travel. The site consists of a dual database of organizations all over the world: Volunteer Opportunities: Independent volunteer organizations all over the world. Travellers with weeks and months (years even!) use this search engine to locate local level community-based organizations in need of their skills. Social Enterprises: These small businesses operate with an underlying social mission. All businesses are geolocated, so travellers can easily support grassroots initiatives in the places they visit.

My name is Alexandra Baackes, I'm a New York native who left my home to explore the world slowly and thoroughly. I’m just a little obsessed with photography, scuba diving, and reading guidebooks to countries I have no immediate plans to visit. I’ve escaped New York — though it does call me back occasionally. After a lovely childhood in Albany and four years studying and working in Brooklyn, I called quits on conventional and bought a one way ticket out of the country. I’ve since celebrated my one-year, two-year, and three-year travelversaries and with no end date in sight, I still feel like I’m on the ride of my life. There’s no end date, no itinerary, and no real backup plan. Just adventure, adrenaline, and a lifetime of globe-trotting daydreams to fulfill. Along the way I indulge my passions for photography, design, scuba diving, and squealing over small animals. I’ve spent most of my life fighting an incurable case of wanderlust. Now that I’ve found a way, at least for now, to make my life centered around travel, I feel like I am Alex in Wanderland. Not to mention, I was a pretty big fan of a certain book and movie character who had a penchant for chasing crazy characters down rabbit holes… I started blogging to document my two-month trip to Southeast Asia in the summer of 2009. I cried the night before I left; terrified of eating dinner alone, getting lost in the airport, and having my camera stolen. That summer I fell head-over-flip-flops in love with the adrenaline of travel, realized there were people out there truly living this nomadic lifestyle that I thought only existed in my head, and discovered that the aimless yearning and restlessness I had been feeling for years was suddenly quieted and peaceful. I had loved every one of my previous trips abroad, but this one was different. I returned to New York, determined to build a life of travel. The next two years were a blur of art supplies, plane tickets, and juggling jobs as I finished up my fine arts degree. In 2011, I left New York to travel full time and have not had a permanent address since. In my early travel days, I worked as a bartender and a babysitter, handed out flyers for three dollars an hour and returned cans for five cent deposits. Whatever it took to stay on the road!

So I’m Liz Carlson and welcome to my blog, Young Adventuress; a no-filter, vaguely chronological space filled with stories and misadventures about my travels over the years with some musings about life thrown in for good measure. I’m that cliché “ordinary girl on an extraordinary journey” if one is allowed to say her own life is extraordinary at 33. Basically, I travel a lot. Usually alone too, that way I don’t have to compromise. A friend once described me as cynical but kind in equal measure, a disturbingly accurate bio. If you’re a fan of chaos, brutal honesty, sarcasm, and girls who think they are wittier than they actually are, then you’ve come to the place. No, no, don’t run away just yet. I got my first taste for traveling when I was 16 years old. On my own, 12 years and 50 something countries later, my wanderlust has only grown and the list of countries I want to visit longer. After living in Spain for the past few years and returning home for a stint, I then quit my job and moved to New Zealand and I've been here ever since. Follow my misadventures as I wander, eat, and photograph my way around the world. I started this blog over ten years ago in 2010 when I was getting ready to move to Spain to teach English and procrastinate on life. I’m sure you can relate. I thought my path would take me to graduate school to become a medieval history professor (raises eyebrows). Instead, I turned out to be a professional nomad (read: hobo). My parents are, of course, thrilled. On my blog, you will find the most marvelous collection of stories of my travels, my misadventures (of which there are many), and things I generally find interesting (also many). Creating and experimenting are important to me.

If you’re like most folks in the world today, you’ve been working for years to make ends meet—faithfully going to work and going through the motions to support yourself, maybe your family, and probably to pay-off debts. Some days you probably wonder, “Whatever happened to my dreams? Am I ever going to get to see the places I’ve read about and longed to visit?” We know how that feels. It’s what motivated us to create the NuNomad course just for you. You can change your life, work the hours that YOU want. Create meaningful products and services that millions of people want. After a brief holiday, with your savings usually greatly depleted, you went back to the same old grind. Luckily, times have changed. The NuNomad is a “how-to” manual for those who are serious about breaking out of the rat race and into the world. This resource includes information on all vital aspects of designing a location-independent lifestyle. Contained in the course is, A guide – for individuals who want to maintain an income while they travel the world without having to be an Internet expert or experienced traveller. A resource – which explains how successful Nu Nomads manage their businesses from the road and their motivations for doing so. A source of encouragement – for people who feel they will die a slow death if they don’t break out of their cubicle—their rut—and see what the world has to offer. A source of validation – for people who measure personal wealth in terms of their experiences and not in terms of bank accounts or material items; for those who seek to redesign their lifestyle. A set of signposts – for people who are looking for tips and advice from a like-minded community that will help them make their dream adventure come true. An In-depth analysis of current trends in revenue streams, approaches to your working week, where to travel. The latest legal and tax advice. Knowing how to organise your accounts, tax payments and more. Different sections include, information on how to design a life that reflects your innermost values. (Is a location-independent life right for you?). How to create a strategy that moves you from point A (your current life) to point B (the world!). How to manage your personal obligations, from business to home commitments. How to maintain your income on the road, including raising and saving money and creating a mobile business. How to make your profession mobile. It also contains examples of Digital Nomad compatible professions, occupations and businesses, travel gear, documents and immunisations you’ll need, equipment requirements for the mobile office, how to protect your health, valuables and children in foreign lands, and, advice and tips on free services and technologies that help make your office mobile.

The Modern Day Nomads is a job search engine for nomads. It is a destination for fellow travelers that are multi-skilled, tech-savvy, creative professionals who prefer a “locationless living” lifestyle or want to utilize their wide array of talents to travel the world. We bring you a daily offering of top, meaningful use-your-creative-skills-to-travel opportunities (many with housing) in the industries of property caretaking, media/design, photography/video, high-tech, adventure/recreation, education, culinary/F&B/hospitality, transportation, green/ecological, farm/food artisan and humanitarian work, as well as arts & literary residencies, work-exchange, study programs, travel information + inspiration for globetrekking North American creative professionals in the U.S. + abroad. Modern-Day Nomads first began in 2006, when Tiffany Owens traded a former, lengthy media career to become a successful, roving property caretaking team with her former husband, David – and hasn’t looked back since. MDN’s various caretaking jobs and travels took them cross-country, from midcoast Maine to San Juan Island, Washington, and places between. Owens’ musings on the nomadic lifestyle: “Initially, I chose journalism as a means of exposure to new places, people and experiences. But more and more, I found myself earning the typical dot-com living by sitting at a desk and staring at a computer screen for long hours. I’ve never been much of an armchair traveler; to me, life is much more exciting ‘out in the fringes of the world,’ experiencing everything first-hand. Our multi-faceted, respective skill sets made us a great team and this has been a perfect fit for all of the things we want to do: see the world, meet interesting people, learn new skills, earn a decent wage, and seek inspiration for new creative endeavors – kind of ‘Room of One’s Own’ with a modern, globetrotting twist.” Owens is currently living as a Modern-Day Nomad in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2012, she redesigned what had formerly been the team’s professional caretaking website in its current incarnation as a community resource for other like-minded North American nomads to find their next creative travel opportunity.

Travelling the world since 2014. Living proof work-life balance & success are not mutually exclusive. Jason Lengstorf is a software architect, keynote speaker, occasional designer and a self-proclaimed, mediocre bartender! Jason Lengstorf aims to help others who want to go location-independent, too. Jason Lengstorf is a principal developer experience engineer at Netlify and the host of ‘Learn With Jason’, a live-streamed video show where he pairs with people in the community to learn something new in 90 minutes. He’s passionate about building healthy, efficient teams and systems, and he’s done his best to positively influence the community, leadership, and technical health of open source and companies including Gatsby and IBM. He lives in Portland, Oregon. What he does for a living is to collect and share knowledge as a keynote speaker, principal developer experience engineer at Netlify, and through his blog. He finds brilliant people and learns from them in public, on his love show, ‘Learn With Jason’. He creates better teams by focusing on effective working habits, including world-shattering techniques as “actually taking time off”. He makes the people around him more effective, by identifying the ‘dirt floors’, then helping design ways to remove them. Not everyone had access to a great network like that. Not everyone has someone to help push them forward when they might otherwise settle in and think, “Well, this is probably the best I can do.” Jason aims to create a space where he does his best to push you to be the best possible version of yourself, and create a channel where you can push him to do the same, starting with a blog and a newsletter you can subscribe to. If this sounds like the sort of thing you wish you had — or if it’s something you do have, and you’d like to help other people experience it — join the newsletter. Connect with people who strive to be better; who push themselves and the people around them; who don’t feel threatened when someone is succeeding — instead, they feel energized to go do more awesome things. He started his site to find more of the above type of people. Hopefully you’re one of them. Jason focuses on giving presentations around Work-life Balance and Efficiency, raising awareness about the health and career risks of overworking, teaching high-efficiency habits, encouraging downtime. Building Effective Teams: process design, designing healthy culture, onboarding, internal training. Modern Front-End Development: progressive web apps, high-performance patterns, React + GraphQL, architecture, testing, functional programming, and many more topics. For a full list of his ideas – old and new, have a look at his presentation list. If it is a past presentation, the slides are up there, too. You can be a success without the sacrifice. Stop burnout before it starts. Reclaim hours of every day. Get more done in less time. Spend more time on the things that matter most!

Based Bachelor deals in information products and services to help entrepreneurs and expats build productive lives abroad. My guides are meant to help reduce the learning curve with living in an unfamiliar place, so you can focus on your goals. Right now, my main focus is on China – but I am already seeking out partners to help build the brand. After living in China, teaching English, I realized that not only did I have a ton of free time to use as I desire. I realized that if someone was really driven to accomplish something big, like learn drop-shipping or build an online business, they could achieve it here, without the huge risk and uncertainty of having to quit their job and no income. You can live comfortably in China without having to deal with the incredible financial strain that comes with living in the West. Inspired by this discovery, I set out to share what I’ve learned. On the internet, the term has come to be synonymous with cool, but in the context of this brand, a Based Bachelor is a man that isn’t seeking outside validation for who they are in the world. They know who they are and what they want. They don’t make excuses for their failures, and they feel no shame for their position. They actively set out to improve themselves and face challenges because that’s what life is for. I feel that being able to integrate into a new country and live a healthy, happy life doing the things you love is a kind of success. But other people might say that this is a cop-out, success should include building multi-million dollar businesses or reaping a seven-figure income. I can’t tell you exactly what your path should be, but I can share what I’ve learned in my quest to take control of my financial future. Though now I am selling books, doing affiliate marketing and online sales, I don’t want that to be the limit of my entrepreneurial endeavors. I’m striving to build something greater. Why not build something great in tandem?

Nomad Projects is a platform for digital nomads who want to start a side project. Connect with other nomads, so ideas don’t stay ideas, but grow into a side project with diverse expertise. Search for nomads that complement your skillset or find side projects you would like to collaborate on. Connect and start working together to acquire new skills, boost your portfolio and build something awesome. Nomad Projects was started by nomads and for nomads. We understand how you think, work and travel. Some days you work 18 hours, other days not at all. Sometimes you sleep in a hostel with crappy Wi-Fi, other days you stay in an Airbnb apartment. Nomad life is versatile. Nomad Projects was build because we found it very difficult to find the right people to start a side project with. We had a great idea, a lot of knowledge on different spectrums, yet we needed the missing link to actually start: in our case a back-end developer. The person we were looking for would not only have to complement our skillset, but this person would also have to fit our lifestyle and be open to a side project. Thus, Nomad Projects was born. We believe that life isn’t all about work and that you should enjoy what you are doing. This means that starting a side project is all about building something awesome, something you’d be proud of. We hope to inspire you to bring your ideas to life in an awesome side project. As Shia Lebeouff would say it: just do it!

Live Anywhere, Learn Anywhere, Work Anywhere. How To Prepare Your Family to Live, Learn & Work from Anywhere. Location Independent. After embarking upon a digital nomad lifestyle in 2005, Lea Jovy-Ford, the founder of Location Independent blogged about her adventures, coined the phrase and grew the blog into a 25k-strong community. She has achieved many things in her almost 2 decades of working 100% online. The site has been featured on the BBC, in the Guardian and other worldwide media. In 2005, her website started as a simple blog – long before most people were blogging! – to record the journey she experienced as she left the UK, hit the road and ran her business from anywhere. Almost two decades later, she is still running an 8-figure business from anywhere and has helped thousands of people do the same. Along the way, the concept of being location independent became globally popular, helped into the mainstream by the likes of Dell who she partnered with to push the “digital nomad” concept, and which is now experienced by many more people in the form of remote work. During her time as an entrepreneur and business owner, she has qualified as a REPS Level 4 personal trainer, a CHEK-certified Holistic Lifestyle Coach, a Metabolic Typing Practitioner and an NLP Practitioner. She has created a global movement, which garnered international media interest and caught the attention of big brands such as Dell. Worked with hundreds of clients to help make the online business revolution work for them. Written, self-published and sold a number of e-books; the first back in 2007 before everyone was doing it, and created and sold numerous online courses, programs, and other digital products. Blogged on various blogs since 2005; including being a ‘professional’ blogger (i.e., being paid to blog) for a year. Built several remote-only teams to run and grow her own businesses. Organised and hosted the first (and second) ever national UK conference for illustrators, featuring industry-renowned keynote speakers and panellists at each. She has been listed in Forbes magazine’s Thirty Women Entrepreneurs to Follow, and been featured in national and international press. Since 2006, she has built and lead several remote teams for her own solo businesses, of between 5-15 people, creating cultures based on loyalty and trust before ‘remote’ was even a thing. Lea’s goal is to do business differently. She has been interviewed, featured & mentioned in global media outlets over the past few years speaking about topics around the Nomad Lifestyle, such as in the Financial Times ~ being interviewed for a feature about “Nomads of the working world”. BBC Click ~ featured in “Technology allows digital nomads to work anywhere” The Guardian, Careers, UK ~ featured in “Work’s a beach: meet the digital nomads making the world their office”. The Guardian, Travel, UK ~ featured in “The escapees travelling the world while working online”. The Guardian, Life & Style, UK ~ featured in “This column will change your life: 9-to-5 or free and easy?” She has also written for various publications, been featured in a number of books, and has spoken – virtually and in person – to audiences globally.

Nomadtopia is about combining everything that is important to you, to create your life, on your own terms, with no regrets. Maybe you want to live in one place, but choose where that is based on your values and interests, not where you can find a job. Maybe you want to travel full-time and explore the world. Maybe you’ve always dreamed of living abroad. And when you are location independent, you’re one step closer to making any of these scenarios a reality! Starting or living life was a digital nomad is challenging. There are the logistical challenges, such as how to set up residency in another country, how health insurance works for nomads, what kind of timeline you should follow to get everything done, and what to do with your home and belongings. The hardest part, though, is that those around you simply don’t get it, and you just don’t know what you don’t know. You may wander into Facebook groups hoping to get insight and support from experienced nomads, but instead find travel enthusiasts with plenty of unhelpful opinions. Worse, there are the snarky comments and endless drama to sift through, and so many people that you quickly drown in all the digital noise. Whatever your Nomadtopia looks like, we’re here to support you in figuring out how to make it happen and provide the community and resources to make living your Nomadtopia easier, less lonely, and more sustainable. There are resources for help with everything from discovering what your ideal lifestyle looks like to learning how to successfully work from anywhere. Listen to Nomadtopia radio, and get inspired by the stories of people all over the world who are living their own version of Nomadtopia. Connect with others, on the same path and get support in the Nomadtopia Collective, our private subscription-based online community. When you download the guide, you will also be subscribed to the Nomadtopia newsletter, and you will receive information on the top 10 logistical things you need to do before becoming a nomad. (Which is not what you think it is!). The Nomadtopia Collective is a global online community for all nomads—aspiring, newbie, and experienced alike. Members can not only help with the complicated logistical questions related to nomad life, but they will also support you at every step of your journey. It makes all the difference to connect with people who understand you, your dreams, and your lifestyle. We are here to foster connection and smooth the way, no matter how you nomad! Members of the Collective are open-minded, welcoming, and supportive. We understand and respect that even though we may have different perspectives, experiences, and versions of Nomadtopia we can still support and care for each other.

BecomeNomad was started by Eli David, in 2012, and is here to this day owing to the leadership of our editor and real boss Dan, and Vuk, a magician WordPress developer. The goal of BecomeNomad’s blog and podcast is to provide insights and resources for nomads who are already on the road, while also offering inspiration to those of you who are considering a long-term nomadic lifestyle. We would like it to be a resource to help people get unstuck, if they wish. Some of the articles will even be relevant for non-nomads as they relate to other life aspects and general travel. The nomadic lifestyle is based on the following pillars which I keep on forgetting: Nothing is mine, everything is temporal, life is right now, and it is not serious. Although it sounds exciting to live as a permanent nomad, my actual lifestyle is not what you expect. I work about 9 hours a day, and only travel during the weekends. The only special element here is that I generally don’t stay more than 3 months in the same place, and my next destination is preferably a country I have never been to before. You can read more about my nomadic structure of life here. I am trying to make sure that the blog and podcast will remain a hobby which will hopefully cover the costs, since I want to keep my travels and life pure and separated from my income. While travelling, I am focusing on building cool stuff. I am currently working on a global startup ecosystem map and research centre – StartupBlink. As for the content of BecomeNomad, I have decided to avoid highlighting my own adventures and journeys (since those will honestly put you to sleep) and focus on investigating the Nomadic Lifestyle instead.

Nomad Flag is a travel blog for culture vultures, digital nomads, lifestyle entrepreneurs, long-term travellers, and expats. There you can find information about backpack packing, how to find work on the road, travel VPNs, money transfer services, inspirational books, travel hacks, and many more useful information for travellers. I’m Keith, a traveller, entrepreneur, and techie with over 25 years of travel experience and a love of culture. I started this site several years ago as a way of helping others with the techniques and tricks I’d picked up from a lifetime of taking planes, trains and automobiles around the world. It’s a passion project. It has to be done! I’m interested in slow travel. Staying put in a place for a long time might appear boring to some people. But the benefits of learning a new culture, making friends, experiencing a place as a “local”, and enjoying being somewhere (rather than rushing to the next place), make slow travel a much more attractive option for me. I’ve been travelling for a long time, but I only recently started a travel blog. One day I’ll add everything I can to the pages of this website. I’d recommend anyone that loves travel to write about their experiences. Even if you have no intention of starting a blog or making money from travel blogging, your writing will be an account of your journeys and experiences. It’s also a great way to practice travel writing. The tips and tricks I suggest here will help you, but they should only be a small part of the travel experience. Letting yourself get lost, meet new people, and learn new things will bring you more joy than any new travel app or gadget. However, it’s good to be prepared. Knowing how to get the most out of a trip is valuable. I wouldn’t want you to throw away money either, so helping with money-saving tips is part of the plan for this site. I don’t write for the tour bus and package deal tourists because that’s not my area. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. I just don’t have any experience in that type of travel. I’m a blogger, entrepreneur and online business owner. I would love to hear from other bloggers (travel bloggers or otherwise) and online entrepreneurs. Please also get in touch if you’d like some help with your travel plans. There’s nothing a travel geek likes more than to talk about their favourite subject.

The Jobs Abroad Bulletin (JAB) is a blog style bulletin board full of job vacancies posted by employers looking for staff. They allow employers to post vacancies to them for free, so JAB can contain as many jobs as possible. They have been in existence in one form or another since 1992, going online seven years later, and sending the first issue of JAB out into the world as a monthly email bulletin in April 2000, reaching 70,000 readers and 100 issues before we changed to placing the job vacancies in their current blog format in 2010. Once part of an inter-related group of travel websites and blogs intent on encouraging people to travel for longer, in 2020 – having realized they had created so much more work for ourselves – they began migrating the content on their other five websites to Jobs Abroad Bulletin. Over the years they have helped their readers to finance their travels by working as powerboat crew in Greece, bar staff in the Czech Republic, chefs in Austria, camp counsellors in Russia, English teachers in Japan, au pairs in Dubai, holiday reps in Turkey, waiters in Cyprus, chalet girls in Switzerland, dancers in Jordan, nannies in New Zealand, tour leaders in Southeast Asia, hotel entertainers in Egypt, nurses in Bahrain, call centre staff in Ireland, researchers in Cambodia, snackbar attendants in Portugal, hot-air balloon ground crew in France, classroom assistants in Chile, eco trail leaders in Costa Rica, hostel workers in Panama, ski instructors in Italy, kitchen workers in the USA, tent erectors in Germany, training managers in Oman, and caretakers in Uganda. Many of these jobs are wonderful, rewarding experiences in themselves. Some just pay the bills. Some are paid, some are not. But what they all have in common is keeping you in Barcelona, Bali or Buenos Aires for longer. Though competition for some of the plum jobs out there can be intense, they don’t deal in highly paid, skilled positions requiring lots of qualifications and experience. They focus mostly on short and medium term jobs that almost anyone can do, or learn to do. While anyone is welcome to use their site, their core readership is British and Irish, EU nationals, Americans, Canadians Australians and New Zealanders. Work, and even tourist, visa rules mean some nationalities will find it harder to work and travel overseas than others, and they post their vacancies and information in both good faith and the certain knowledge, not everything will be applicable to everyone. They also post out of state travel type jobs for Americans to find in their own vast country. On Jobs Abroad Bulletin, you can also enjoy their blog called The Working Traveller Magazine. There, you can find a whole section of working abroad features and interviews too, covering the best types of work available to working travellers, including tourism, catering and hospitality jobs, working in a ski resort, teaching English, and location independence.

The Digital Nomad life has been sold as a “perfect” lifestyle that will make you happy AND rich – basically overnight. In reality, it’s just a new way of living powered by the internet. And in order to make it truly meaningful, we have to look beyond the shiny Instagram version. Digital Nomad Girls invites you to reimagine what it means to be location independent and run a business. They believe the nomad lifestyle is about more than collecting passport stamps or generating “passive” income. They believe that it could be part of a bigger movement towards a more sustainable, ethical, feminist and communal world. One that values collaboration, mindfulness and rest, over individualism, greed and hustle culture. And they believe that a network of globally-minded, adventurous & curious women will build this world. By sharing knowledge and skills with each other and building businesses that are a force for good. Jenny, is a scientist turned digital nomad, entrepreneur and founder of DNG. Originally from Munich, she has been living and travelling abroad for the past 13 years. After finishing a PhD in chemistry in 2013, she planned to backpack for one year, but stumbled headfirst into the digital nomad world. Having worked in a super competitive, high-pressure academic environment for many years, Jenny was excited to find a lifestyle that seemed much more balanced & human-friendly. Within a few short months of working online, she learned one of the biggest nomad lessons: this lifestyle can be really lonely and difficult. Turns out that building a business from scratch while moving around every few months wasn’t quite as easy-breezy as many made it sound. Plus, it quickly became clear that the online business world was just as male-dominated and rife with hustle culture, toxic productivity and competition as academia. But she had no intention to swap the old rat race for a new one, so she decided to create a community that was different, and that’s how DNG was born over 6 years ago! The Lab is their virtual community for location independent women supporting each other through experimentation, collaboration & accountability! Join their Facebook Group with over 30k members from around the world. Launched in 2015, it’s the longest-running FB Group for female digital nomads. Every Friday they send out their roundup of the community – remote jobs posted by members, inspiration, member highlights & regular free events! They are a Business for Good in partnership with B1G1 (Buy1Give1), a global organisation that allows businesses to embed Giving into their everyday operations. Through B1G1, your business can support projects around the world that are working toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN. At DNG they support causes that are closely aligned with their values and are connected to Quality Education, Gender Equality and Climate Action. Every time a member joins the Lab, DNG awards a Malawian Female Entrepreneur a microloan. Once a month they host a book-club for members, where 20 days of free access to literacy education is given to Dalit girls. At DNG they have taken the Ethical Move pledge and are committed to transparent, responsible and honest marketing. And they are encouraging our community to do the same!

Work From Anywhere, Any time on Any Device and Set Yourself Free! Stuck in another airport, on the way to yet another business meeting, the founder of WFA Life, Andy Willis, picked up Tim Ferris’ book, The 4-Hour Work Week. The tag line – Escape the 9-5, live anywhere and join the new rich – attracted his attention. Whilst not a revolutionary concept, the notion of being able to ‘live anywhere’ and ‘work less’ suddenly hit home. Though his conference business was successful, it dawned on him that he was trapped in it: tied to his desk when he wasn’t travelling between events, with all the knowledge, systems and procedures in his head. He knew he wanted more, to live more; it turns out he was ready to seize the day. Making the transition didn’t happen overnight, but he knew that for anything to happen at all, he just had to start. He made it his mission to work out how he could do more of the things he loved, travelling and cycling, whilst still feeling successful. The Working From Anywhere (WFA) concept began to unfold. Over a period of years, he tried and tested every communications platform, project management tool, collaboration tool, email program, and file storage device. He worked out systems and procedures and methods to allow him and his team to work effectively, from anywhere. As friends and clients began to notice his trips to France getting longer each year, curiosity was piqued. How is it that he was always travelling, enjoying life, and yet still running a great business? Little by little, he began to teach others what I’d done and how they could do it too. He distilled the process into a 5-step system which anyone could implement, regardless of business size or industry. It simply required a willingness to embrace change and the notion that life is for living now, not when you retire. He soon realised that this process, this way of living, could be his new normal, his everything. So, he wound up his conference business and WFA Life was born. Now there’s a program, a book and an experience for anyone who wants to join the revolution – to seize the day and make time for life.

Teleport builds software to move you to the best place to live and work. Explore the best cities based on your personal preferences, and we’ll lend you a hand with preparing and executing the move. Many of the Teleport team were previously building Skype, which was quite effective in making the world smaller in a metaphorical sense. They now aim to make physically rearranging the human population, just as easy. Free movement of talent will make every government in the world compete for every citizen. Since April 2017 Teleport is a Topia company. Topia is the leader in Global Talent Mobility. They empower enterprise HR teams to deploy, manage, and engage employees anywhere in the world so companies and their employees can work everywhere. The Topia platform enables organizations to deliver mobility as part of a broader talent strategy encompassing all types of employee movement – remote and distributed workforces, business travel, and more traditional relocations and assignments. This drives enhanced employee experience and competitive advantage by ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time, while staying compliant no matter where they are. The Topia platform automates the entire global talent mobility process, including scenario-based planning, expat payroll, tax and immigration compliance, reporting and more. Topia powers global talent mobility programs for world-renowned brands such as Schneider Electric, Dell, Veolia, Equinor and AXA. Topia has raised over $115M from NewView Capital (formerly New Enterprise Associates), Notion Capital and others, and is a global company with offices throughout the Americas and EMEA. Team Teleport is currently distributed across 5 countries, and they also travel around quite a bit. While moving themselves and their families around the globe they became all too familiar with the hassles this lifestyle brings, they still strongly believe that quality of knowledge work is not a function of one’s physical location. Their full-time staff's homes are already distributed across 4 countries on 2 continents, also, they tend to fly around quite a bit. Teleport is a truly distributed team - they have full time employees in Tallinn, Munich, Paris and Cambridge, more help from Tartu and a roaming co-founder who was most recently spotted in Canada. Having the entire team in the same room is a rare luxury for us - letting our people live where they want is part of our DNA, and we have to turn to some awesome remote teamwork tools to make sure our communications don't break down because of async channels and differences in time zones. The main conditions they choose their tools by are based on easy accessibility for everyone - all team members should be able to access, edit and have a say on most of what they do. They opt for transparency first - there has to be a clear reason why anything is not made public by default. Information storage and location – they believe the more details they can add, the better - this makes the chance of misunderstanding each other a lot less. Important information must be easy to find and backtrack at any time. They’ve put together a list of remote job sites as well as sites with a remote filter to tell you what they’re for, how well they work and also added a comparison table in the end to give you a quick overview. Teleport knows that quality of work doesn’t necessarily depend on your physical location. We are committed to creating a culture and environment that allows our people to do great work from wherever in the world they wish to be. Teleport Cities Mobile App is now also available on the web if you want to try it immediately. It allows you to find out which of the top 100 start-up cities you should be in and how you can get there. In mere minutes, you can discover and budget your next move. Until recently, remote jobs were relatively hard to find, but now the issue seems to be the opposite - there are heaps of new sites publishing remote jobs, and figuring out which site suits your needs best can be challenging. To make the comparison easier, they have made a table highlighting the main features for each site. The "volume of ads" in case of sites that have a remote jobs filter shows the volume of remote job ads, not all of them. You can read details about every site under the table.

Here’s a few things you can do on WebWorkTravel: Get the destination guide for digital nomads with over 60 amazing budget destinations from around the world. Join the Digital Nomad Network – the largest Facebook community for digital nomads worldwide. Learn everything about one of the best adventure towns and upcoming Digital Nomad Hotspot Tarifa. It all started in Cape Town. Back in 2008 after studying there and falling in love with the city and people, I was looking for a job that would allow me to move between Germany and South Africa whenever I wanted and have more than 14 days of vacation. My first online job was as a Virtual assistant for a Swiss company. It helped me to quit my job in tourism within 4 months and learn many more skills to work online while getting paid for it. I became location independent overnight. Eventually I quit that job and ended up working in PPC (Pay per Click Marketing) and eCommerce. Even better, Inspired by Tim Ferris, I was also able to start a successful 4 hour work week style online business. It didn’t make me rich but pays my bills until this day, and it’s given me the freedom to experiment with the location independent lifestyle, travel to places where I wasn’t sure if the internet would be ok, and figure out how to stay productive while travelling the world. Back in 2014 we started the first Facebook Group for Digital Nomads. The group is still up and running and has now over 55.000 members from all over the world. If you would like to learn from experienced nomads or find other nomads in your area there is no better place to connect online than the digital nomad network.

Anyplace was launched in 2017 and set out to create a world where people can live anyplace they desire. We believe that the housing rental experience should be straightforward and flexible. It should be an enriching journey that is simple and easy to manage. It should be about opening new doors, discovering new places and having new experiences. We believe, when you connect with like-minded people, amazing things can happen. However, we know that connecting and meeting people in your new city can be challenging. We built our community platform to solve this problem and bring people together, wherever they are. We will continue to enable people to live lifestyles, free from traditional constraints and commitments. We will develop our service and provide even better experiences. We want to live in a world where anyone can live anywhere they desire. That is our goal and what we are driven to achieve. In the future, we will grow and develop our community. We’ll reach more, connect more and bring more people, across the world, together. The Story of Anyplace started as fluid as today’s technology has made our lives, traditional living options have clipped our wings and grounded us with things like rents, lease and mortgages. At Anyplace, we’re out to change that by providing people with easy, turn-key housing options all over the world. No long-term leases. No buying or moving furniture. No endless screening processes. No landlords. Just dependable and hassle-free living designed with global citizens in mind. New places feel like homes when we experience them as a community. We are driven to make connecting with like-minded people, wherever you are, easy. Through our community platform, Anyplacers, anywhere, can connect, make friends and explore new places, together. Why we started anyplace? We were in the same place, as millions of others all over the world; stressed-out by and fed-up with renting. The endless screening processes, the ceaseless paperwork, the hassle and worry, the shackle-like commitments – enough was enough. One day, we came up with a solution; a way to navigate the clutter and complexity of traditional renting. Imagine you could live, rent and move more freely; as free as checking-in and checking-out of a hotel. What if you could have safe and secure service, but without the chains of long-term commitment? What if you could be free to move more, explore more and make more connections, with like-minded people?

Freedom is Everything is a content site, created by Cam Woodsum, about digital nomading, remote work, entrepreneurship, traveling the world, and trying to live a good life! You’ll like this site if: You’re looking to create more freedom in your life! Cam believes that digital nomading (working online from anywhere you want) is the fastest shortcut to freedom and that freedom is the fastest shortcut to happiness and living a great life. In simple terms, if you have the freedom to spend your time exactly how you want to spend it, it’s easier to live a happy life. The story behind the name “Freedom is Everything”? Cam lived in Taiwan for two months in late 2017 and while sitting in one of their favorite dumpling restaurants, they spotted a guy wearing a shirt that said “Freedom is Everything.” Cam tried to buy the shirt online but couldn’t find it! What Cam did find though, was that the domain name FreedomisEverything.com was newly available. In early 2018, Cam decided to build a site about digital nomading and freedom, and FreedomisEverything.com felt like the perfect name. Digital nomading, location independence and remote work are a gateway to something much more important, freedom. In 2020, Sam finally got around to building the site. Cam Woodsum has been wandering the world since mid-2015 and running businesses since early 2017. When Cam started building their own businesses in early 2017, their goal was to make enough passive income so that they’d be able to free up their time to work on creating positive change in the world. As of late 2019, Cam has created enough passive income to financially retire while living cheaply abroad. Cam is now focused on helping other people to gain similar levels of freedom in their lives while also working on climate change endeavors.

Life Remotely was created by Jessica and Kobus Mans, and Jared McCaffree. They share the common passion of travel, and a lifestyle that allows them to spend their time where they choose. Their professional careers have allowed them to spend most of their time working remotely. Over the past ten years they have worked hard to establish the skills, clients and credibility necessary to perform these jobs while traveling. Technology gives them the ability to work remotely. Curiosity, wonder and boredom drive them to the far reaches of the world. Put the two together and you have Life Remotely. They’ve spent the past fifteen years travelling and working around the world. In October 2011 they became full-time digital nomads, and took working remotely to a whole new level. They left their home in Seattle and headed south. Their goal was to drive to Patagonia and spend the night in Antarctica. After 19 months, 575 days, two-thirds of them sleeping in a tent, they not only reached Antarctica, but continued North and ended their trip in Rio de Janeiro. They quickly realized that the violent and misconceived notions of their southern neighbours couldn’t be more wrong. And so they wrote a how-to overlanding guide titled “Don’t Go There. It’s Not Safe. You’ll Die. And other more rational advice for Overlanding Central and South America”. Six months later, they realized that aside from working and writing travel guides, they possessed a totally different skill. They cook really good food, every day, with local ingredients, in nothing but a basic camp kitchen. 22,000 miles later, they published a cookbook not only for travellers, but also for home chefs curious about Latin American recipes and new ideas for grilling. Now they’re back in the US sharing their stories, successes and failures and a few good recipes to help others get a taste of the world they explored.

Hubstaff stands for: Freedom: Work where and how you want to work. You’re free to design the company you want when Hubstaff streamlines time tracking and team management. We move projects forward and do what we say we are going to do. Focus: Our products help teams fight distraction and focus on the job at hand. We believe that focus breeds productivity and productivity breeds success. If there’s anything we’ve learned since starting Hubstaff, it’s that remote work works. As more companies turn to this method to get things done, we’re right there alongside them, ushering in a new era of flexible, smarter work. It pays to join the Hubstaff Affiliate program. Karoli Hindriks founded Jobbatical in 2014 to connect people with inspiring jobs abroad. In four years, they moved people from 53 countries to 37 different destinations. Each career journey was a step closer to a world where people and ideas move freely. While they were dreaming of a more open world, there was a monster under the bed: immigration. Smart employers love the idea of hiring from abroad. But confusing, often seemingly impossible paperwork is stopping perfect hires from happening. Which is ridiculous. And the opposite of thinking beyond borders. So Jobbatical started doing immigration. They got really good at it and realized that if they focused all their efforts on their immigration platform, they could help more people. Jobbatical today is the go-to immigration partner for tech startups and traditional companies alike. They free up time for employers to make more hires. Better hires. International hires—confidently, without having to fear the immigration monster. Their team and Karoli have seen firsthand that the world simply works better when it works together. They’re ready to play their part in making that happen. Wherever you're relocating talent from, Jobbatical’s experienced immigration experts cover the entire process for you: from the initial assessment to getting your employees happily settled. Jobbatical is on a mission to help the world work together. They’re building towards a world where moving from one country to another is fully paperless. They are doing that by building high-end relocation technology and by closely working with governments to fix their immigration process, so companies can hire the best talent, regardless of where they’re from.

Never Ending Voyage is the project for travelers created by Simon Fairbairn and Erin McNeaney. They are a couple of digital nomads who sold everything they owned and left the UK in 2010 to travel the world indefinitely, completely changing their lifestyle. With just carry-on luggage, they have been slow travelling their way around the world, earning a living on the road by creating iPhone apps and a travel blog where they provide useful information for others who want to discover the world. They write detailed travel guides to help those who want to plan their perfect trip, no matter if it's a popular destination or one off the beaten path. They also share tips on how to pack light, the best vegetarian food they find on the road, the ups and downs of nomadic life, and much more. Their story began in 2008, when they spent a year traveling through India, Southeast Asia, Australia, the South Pacific and the United States. Simon and Erin described that experience on Never Ending Voyage as breathtaking, beautiful, frustrating, terrifying, and exciting; It was anything but boring. In their words, what they experienced in just one year was more than in the previous ten. On their return to the UK, they found it very difficult to get back into the routine that they’d left. So, they decided to head off again, but this time they left for good. Simon and Erin decided to sale everything they owned, quit their jobs, rent out their house and head out to play dice with destiny. Simon and Erin left the UK on 1st March 2010 with a one-way ticket to Rio de Janeiro. They spent the first year in South America and since then have visited Asia, Europe, Africa, Central and North America, the Middle East, and Oceania. They have had countless amazing experiences over the years that they share with their followers on their site “Never Ending Voyage”. Simon and Erin are digital nomads, so where there's internet (and sometimes even where there isn't), they work. Simon started out doing web design and development, and after a few years launched Voyage Travel Apps, creating iPhone apps with the goal of making it easier to plan any travel. Also, most of their income comes from affiliate sales and advertising on their site.

Pack Hacker is a platform focus on creating gear reviews, guides, packing lists, and other content to help people travel smarter and more efficiently. Through honest reviews that incorporate real world testing and an excruciating attention to detail, their goal is to cut through marketing jargon to give you the nitty-gritty stuff you need to know. Pack Hacker’s team use their expertise and real-world experience to provide practical resources and honest opinions, guiding you towards smarter travel. It is all about real people giving real opinions on gear. Think of they as your friend that knows everything there is to know about travel gear. They’ll get you sorted. All start in May 2015, when Tom Wahlin decided to leave his 9-5 job in the tech industry and take his design skills on the road. With plans to travel the world and work remotely for years at a time, he sold nearly all of his belongings and packed up his New York City apartment into a single 40-liter backpack. His plans became a reality, but the process was arduous. Deciding what to buy, what to ditch, and how to pack it all up became more intensive than the travel plans themselves. At the time, figuring out how to perpetually travel the world out of a single carry-on wasn’t something you could just find on YouTube. As a result, Tom dove in headfirst and became obsessed with figuring out the nitty-gritty details behind products and how he could optimize everything in his backpack to be best-equipped for any adventure in his path. As the years progressed, Tom gathered a team of experts to help him review the latest gear in the travel space and create impactful content. Pack Hacker is now headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, where Tom spends most of his time—along with some core Pack Hacker team—as a “seasonal nomad,” traveling the world regularly while still enjoying the comforts (and studio lighting) of home. All the gear they have ever tested are stored there. Their process consist of a small team of travel experts who test and review a variety of premium and economical gear in their element for a minimum of two weeks. In Pack Hacker pay special attention in their standard that guarantee that each item should be durable and able to last through time, usage, and natural elements; It should serve multiple use-cases and apply to more than one situation; and a design that should feel thoughtful with a considerate style beyond average travel gear. While they strive for variety, they do believe in paying more for something that will last. Pack Hacker prefers brands with a good, ethical production process at a price point that makes sense for its lifeline.

Nomad List's mission is to accelerate the freedom of global movement enabled by remote work. Nomad List finds you the best places in the world to live, work and travel as a remote worker. Every second, it collects millions of data points on thousands of cities around the world, from cost of living, temperature to safety. With that data, Nomad List gives you an idea of where it's best for you to go. Nomad List has much more features than just that though: you can do things like find coworking spaces in each city, see how warm it is in a city in a specific month, search for places with specific climates, read reviews and see who of Nomad List's members is in a city now or will be there soon. Nomad List originally started out for digital nomads, but, as remote work has become more prevalent, it's evolved into a platform for remote workers living anywhere in the world. We have a 10,000+ people member base who log their trips to meet other people in the same place, and chat everyday on Slack to ask questions, share information and make friends. Many of them also organize and attend our regular meetups in real life. The goal of Nomad List's community is to make it less isolating to be a remote worker and, since it's a paid membership, it offers a way to fund the main site's development of city rankings and data to help people find places to go.

My wife and I spend nine months per year traveling the world and having adventures, and the rest of our time teaching others to do the same. In 2014, my life became a near-constant barrage of questions. From the perspective of our friends and family, the sudden transformation that my wife and I experienced made little sense. One moment I was an overworked business owner with failing health, the next we were bouncing around the globe on a permanent vacation. Everyone wants to know how I did it, so here it is; this is the story of how I went from hospital bed to hammock in eight weeks. I grew up in an entrepreneurial family and started my first business at the age of 13. By the time I was 25, my companies were serving major corporations around the world. If you’ve ever worked with a listed corporate, you’ll know that it’s about as fun as getting a colonoscopy. Around this time, a particularly unpleasant “panic attack” put me in the hospital, and the ominous warnings from my doctor forced me to have my midlife crisis a little earlier than most. The world is overflowing with beauty, wonder, and adventure. There is more to experience than anyone could hope to fit into a single lifetime. Yet there I was, trading the best years of my life for a paycheck. As I considered my predicament with my new perspective, everything came into sharp focus. Something needed to change. The first step was obvious. We needed a clear picture of the life that we wanted to live. So, my wife and I sat down and started to list everything that we wanted to do, see, learn, and give. Several weeks later, we completed the first draft of our bucket list, which has since become the central theme of this blog. List in hand, we lacked just one thing: a vehicle that would finance it. In short, we wanted to become full-time global adventurers. To the man on the street, this is an outrageously unrealistic goal and, at the time, I didn’t even know if it was possible. So, I decided to look for someone who had already achieved what I dubbed the “professional vagabond” lifestyle. Suffice it to say, I was shocked to find not just one or two individuals, but an entire professional vagabond sub-culture; a group that Tim Ferriss calls the “New Rich.” Within a week, I had identified almost 100 perpetual travelers and, as I continued to dig, found that the vast majority of them had achieved income automation through ecommerce. Online business, I decided, would be my vehicle. The world is changing. So often, we cling to the safety and familiarity of the 9 – 5 and end up trading the best years of our lives for a paycheck. These days, a day job is optional, and it takes little more than a firm decision and a bit of insight to leave it behind. I am convinced that anyone can achieve my results if they copy the steps that I took to reach them. That’s why, after years of full-time adventure, I have finally produced a step-by-step “Vagabond Business Case Study” to show others how to replicate my success.

I am a God fearing individual, and I’m also a father to two beautiful kids, a boy and a girl. I worked for Tekkie Town as a Sales Assistant and I was chosen as the best Sales person for the entire Mpumalanga province. I also worked for the Department of agriculture as a Data capture. I have a passion for sports, football is one of my favourites and one day I wish I can own a soccer team. While I was in high school, I always wanted to be a lawyer, but due to financial constraints, I could not become one. My interest in the justice system came when I realised that the late former president Mr Nelson Mandela was also a lawyer representing his people. I wish one day I could give back to my community and its people because my community gave us the likes of the late Steve Bantu Biko, one of the BCM Members who fought for the people of South Africa. My community is one of the underdeveloped communities of this country, but I know that one day all of this will change because I know that with education anything is possible. When a child is educated, communities will change for the better and if one community changes, then our country will change for the better as well and poverty will be no more. Education topped with one’s perseverance is the key to a bright future for all. With this pandemic people have lost their jobs and in some households you find that no one is working and people resort to drugs and alcohol, some get depressed to a point of taking their own lives. If we can start developing jobs for people, our continent would become a better place for us all. Being part of an initiative that supports the empowerment of those less privileged is one of my greatest wishes. I will be glad if all my wishes do come through because nothing is as important as education and hard work, and an educated country means a better world for us all.

My name is Glorymar Hernandez, but I prefer to be called “Glory”. I was born in the capital of Venezuela, Caracas, and grew up amid the crowds of the city, the tranquility of the Andean mountains and the joy of the Caribbean coast. A mixture that has taught me to enjoy wherever I am, that aroused my curiosity to know the world, and that has helped me to adapt, with relative ease, to changes. I have a degree in Philosophy, my research works are in Philosophy of Language. Since 2019 I have been working as a Spanish teacher. I decided to start teaching my mother tongue thanks to my experience learning other languages. I had the opportunity to live for a year in Ireland, where I went to learn English and, currently, I am in Italy, where I have had the opportunity to learn Italian. These experiences allowed me to realize that, although seeking perfection when trying to “speak like a native” is the ideal, what really matters is being able to communicate, make ourselves understood and be open to the experience of knowing other cultures and understand that there are many different points of view. Professionally, I have had the opportunity to work in different contexts such as banking, outsourcing consular procedures, and teaching at university level. The biggest lesson I learned from these experiences is that I am not an office person. I prefer to own my time and have the freedom to work wherever I am. For this reason, I have decided to dedicate myself to teaching Spanish online and to enter the digital world. I consider myself a very curious and versatile person, that is why in my free time I enjoy handcrafting (such as sewing or knitting), volunteering, being in contact with nature, and trying to learn new things, like playing the guitar. Regarding my geographical preferences, the beach and the mountains are my main refuges, because I can escape from the noise of the city and connect with myself. That is why I would like to be able to live with my husband on a mountain, not far from the sea.

I’m Toni-Leigh, born and bred in the Mother City of Cape Town. My fiancé and I, are parents to a lively 2-year-old girl who arrived 5 years after losing our 3-year-old son to a rare genetic disease. I love learning new things. Growing up, I was a voracious reader, reading anything and everything (even the classifieds and property ads) and with the advancement of technology over the years, I can have information at the tip of my fingers, so I’m always eager to learn new things and I’m a fast learner. I’ve always had an interest in Information Technology and was the go-to person in my office before my colleagues would go to the IT office, and now I’m looking into further studies so that I can develop my knowledge and skills. In 2005, I graduated from Varsity College with a Diploma in Travel and Tourism, with aspirations of travelling worldwide in my profession. Things didn’t quite work out that way, having worked in retail and a company assisting young people to live and work in the UK. In the last decade or so, I’ve been in the tourism industry behind the scenes, working for an online holiday accommodation booking agency and more recently a company that does tours and safaris in Southern Africa. I also do freelance work remotely, such as, captioning for a speech-to-text service and social media evaluation. I am an introvert, but enjoy working with and being in the company of others, while also enjoying being on my own. In the past I used to view being an introvert as a weakness because those higher up in the ranks of the companies I worked for were extroverted but in recent times I realised how much of a strength it is being an introvert as I also have a strong sense of empathy, which I believe is key in Customer Service and building interpersonal relationships with colleagues and clients. I’m passionate about customer service and going the extra mile and l love that feeling of knowing that I’ve made a difference in someone’s day, whether big or small. People tend to describe me as hardworking, punctual, efficient, dependable and trustworthy. Covid-19 affected the tourism industry drastically, however, I still want to travel anywhere I can, just soaking up the different cultures and experiences. The last year has been both challenging and rewarding and it has made me see things in a different light and so it has been somewhat of a new beginning for me. I am motivated now more than ever to seek out new passions and adventures and to get out of my comfort zone.

Wamkelekile (‘Welcome’ in isiXhosa) to one and all! My name is Iman Martin – ‘Iman’ having both Arabic and African meanings for ‘faith’. Just like my name, I come from a multicultural background: my mom has Indian and Malaysian origins, while my dad is from the Griqua people/clan in South Africa. In the same vein, I am a Muslim and have Christian relatives, with who I am very close. It is because of my diverse background that I feel I was raised to be both tolerant and respectful towards those that are of a different culture, religion, or ethnicity. Cape Town has been the only home I know, and I’ve never ventured far out of it. I do however envision myself travelling to different parts of the world a few years from now. I am passionate about women’s empowerment and women having the choice to choose for themselves! I have recently graduated from the University of Cape Town, with a Bachelor of Social Work (Psychology Major) and placed on the Dean’s Merit List, awarded for consistent academic achievement. Through hard work and perseverance, I was fortunate to have received a scholarship from the Department of Social Development for three of my four years of study. My mini-thesis explored the experiences and challenges of 1st-year students at UCT adjusting to university. Studying social work has not only allowed me to better understand those around me and their thought processes but also, to better understand myself and the possible reasons why I am the way I am. As part of my course requirements, I had to complete field practicals – by putting the theory that I was learning in class to practice in a real-world environment. My field practice experience ranged along a spectrum: from providing social work services to underprivileged youth in a primary school in Bonteheuwel, to interning in the more affluent area of Upper Wynberg, at an international school. This experience further fostered my innate empathy and non-judgemental outlook for those around me. I am someone who is not afraid to get my hands dirty, work hard and help out where I can: currently job hunting, I have occasionally been helping my father with renovations to his property that include painting, plastering, applying putty, etc. This has taught me many practical things that I hope to apply when I own my own house one day. A few months before now, I worked as a Personal Assistant to a therapist and social worker. This was a remote job that taught me valuable organisation and time-management skills. In my early years of study, I found myself working a sales assistant job at the Robben Island Museum Gateway store, and found that my favourite part of the job was interacting with the different tourists that happened upon our humble store and hearing their stories – where they were from and why they decided to visit SA, etc. I love reading, and since a young age, I’ve been considered a bookworm. I mainly enjoy supernatural and sci-fi novels and webcomics, as well as other forms of content such as newspaper and magazine articles (need to know what’s happening in the world around me). English was also my favourite subject at school, and I think this was also encouraged by my English-teacher mother, who was quick to correct any incorrect grammar and pronunciation when my siblings and I spoke incorrectly. I often assisted her in marking her learners’ English examination scripts and as a result, am quick to pick up on spelling or grammatical errors. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, long walks with my dog Ninja, and photography. This has led me to submit a piece that is currently being exhibited at the Zeits Mocca Art Museum, in their long-running ‘Home is Where The Art Is’ exhibition. Furthermore, my faith has given me strength through the darkest times and taught me to be tolerant and understanding of those around me. I am still very much figuring life and myself out as I go along and am always open to learning from those around me.

Live and love as if there is no tomorrow! Hi, my name is Emmerentia. I was born in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa, in the 60s, which means that I'm an original, retro hippie chick at heart with the good, old-fashioned values to back it up. The highs and lows I’ve dealt with in life have taught me a valuable lesson…time is not guaranteed and is therefore not to be lost. I am enjoying my journey, still learning new life lessons and growing to become the person I am meant to be. I must pay tribute to the University of Experience and the School of Hard Knocks for the valuable contributions you have made to my life path thus far. Stronger. Wiser. Blessed. My passion is to help others to reach their full potential. It is even more difficult to do that in one’s own life (it’s so easy giving advice to others, isn’t it?), but making a direct contribution or figuratively planting a seed and watching it take root in someone else’s life is deeply rewarding. We are on this planet to live good lives and to make a positive difference to our direct environment, wherever our feet may fall. Aim for the stars; never forget your roots. Be yourself, stay humble, be kind, be grateful, make love an action…not a word. My mission is to help people from all walks of life, gain financial independence, while caring for the world around us. Learn how to earn. Make sure you have a meal, an income, clothes, a home and good health. There is no planet B. I’m a big fan of renewable resources, organic gardens and farming and hugging a tree. Helping our paw-legged friends in shelters, finding furever homes much faster. Same for birds, horses, donkeys, circus prisoners and liberating zoos. I am an excellent chef in my kitchen 😊 and I love baking (to put it mildly). My cakes and tarts are wickedly good and not being gluten intolerant is still my highlight of the previous decade! My downtime is spent walking, jogging, going to the beach, horse riding and playing golf. With over 38 years’ combined experience, accumulated by time spent in the corporate world and having 3 businesses over the years, I have a wealth of experience to share and utilize. Words, in a personal bio, aren't plentiful. Not to me, at least. I feel that the chances of someone reading about what your opinion is of yourself and BELIEVING it is remote. The tough part is that you don't know me, nor I you, yet I'm trying to “convince” you that what I say is who I am as a person and that what I say is what it is. The eyes are windows to the soul…that isn't exactly happening here, and that sense cannot always be replaced through words alone. So, the moral of the story is that what I list below as my key character traits, strengths, weaknesses, achievements, experience, etc. is in reality simply just that. Traits: Dedicated, honest, loyal, trustworthy, tenacious, dependable, creative, methodical, sense of integrity, ethical, tough but fair, empathetic, lighthearted and friendly. Strengths: Comfortable in a team environment or working independently, management, skills utilization, delegation, human relations, conflict resolution, analysis, strategizing, implementation, problem-solving, business administration. Weaknesses: Impatience, self-critique, injustice and rudeness stirs my temper, being micro-managed, cheesecake. Experience: Sales, sales management, customer relationship management, business administration, directorship and general management of 3 x businesses previously owned/co-owned. Summary: A self-starter who gets what's required done, pronto. I am self-motivated, enjoy new challenges and try my best to excel at what's before me. I love working with people, as this is simply my passion.

Greetings to one and all. My name is Edith, I am a child of the universe and I want to share that every day is a beautiful day. True, our emotions fluctuate but at some point during each day we will recognise that the day is a gift we have received and if we be true to ourselves this will bring a smile and with it feel good energy. We should take this feel good energy and build on it so that each day it comes easier and earlier and like a muscle it will grow, become more evident and gather momentum and we will feel better for it. I believe in kindness and forgiveness towards others and myself. In a couple of months, I will begin the first year of my sixth decade on planet Earth. Twenty years ago I was facing a life-threatening illness and not doing too well, I am a miracle. I believe we are all miracles. Some would differ, it can be a topic for discussion. I am a widow and live with and take care of my 87-year-old mother and 7-year-old granddaughter, to whom I am foster mother. Thankfully, both are well. We live in a truly beautiful spot, the Deep South, Cape Peninsula, CT, South Africa, blessed in many ways I have much wonder and appreciation for this. I was born in Cape Town, grew up and completed my education in the best place in the world to have grown up at that time, yes! Zambia in the sun. I have very fond memories of my formative years in Zambia and still consider myself Zambian. It is the national anthem I sang as a child and I loved the then president, KK, Kenneth Kaunda. I returned to South Africa in 1980 to attend college and begin my independent years and in 1982 I moved to the newly independent Zimbabwe where I spent the next 21 years before returning to my roots in 2003. I have extensive administrative experience - getting things organised, getting things done. With a stable track record, I am able to diversify within different industries. As part of a team, I have a strong focus to resolve challenges and enjoy leaving any tasks I am busy with in a user-friendly state (do unto others). I pride myself on my attention to detail & due diligence, going the extra mile in terms of improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness. I did a one-year secretarial course in 1980 and my working life began from there. Living and learning life then became what I did, marriage, babies, etc. I guess I was lazy to further my qualifications, in hindsight I think I would have made a damn good surgeon LOL. Seriously, I have good eye, hand coordination, a good touch, and, consciously, I have become better at threading the needle. I believe strongly in being true to and honest with myself and I think I was then because family means more to me than a career. And now, I am ready to start that next chapter in my career. I am blessed. I have over the years done various short courses including a deep tissue massage course, so I am a certified masseuse, however I only massage family and friends as I am no longer physically (strength and stamina) up to doing a job I am comfortable to charge for. Thought that was worth mentioning, as it brings me pleasure to help others breathe and take time out. I have always worked in administrative support positions from Girl Friday to Executive PA and everything in between and in many different industries. My last couple of jobs have been from home (virtual) and in a new field, namely customer service. This shift was challenging and I am proud to say I managed it pretty well. Working from home is what is necessary at this time given my current living circumstances. This change and the challenge that came with it reminded me that I have strong determination, which is a very good thing. I am concerned for my granddaughter’s generation and what life will be like for them as adults, especially the environment they will find themselves in physically, mentally, emotionally. I would love to become more knowledgeable and active in the conservation of water, a precious natural resource that as long as it comes out of the tap when we open the tap, many do not really appreciate just how precious it is and therefore the need to respect and conserve it. And, I would love to see the curricula in our educational systems adapting to educating our children to be more self-aware, mindful and able to guide their minds when it comes to EQ. Easy does it.

Rome wasn't built in a day. I’m of a very friendly nature and love to be with people who aren’t selfish. I am ambitious and will do anything to achieve my aim - "The Universe applauds action, not thought" I’m of a very adventurous nature and love to find good in everything I see. There are many things that make us depressed or upset, but that doesn’t mean that we stop living. You dust yourself off, honor the difficult times for the lesson it taught you, and walk away stronger and wiser. Independence and confidence were key in my life from a young age with venturing to the UK straight after school, and eventually ending up in Cape Town as my dream destination to live a happy balanced life where beautiful sunsets are part of your everyday life, and reminds you that dreams do come true. My professional life started as a labourer painting parks in the dire UK winter weather to an Insurance consultant for a huge corporate company. Getting to know me over time, it became clear that I adapt quickly and take pride in everything I do, as I strive to leave everything and everyone better than you found them. Covid-19 and the drastic changes that came with it has been the most challenging and rewarding time of my life. With a system that failed us all in so many ways, living a financially stable life is nearly impossible, but forced me to get grounded with nature and realize that the best things in life are truly free. My senses for nature, animals, and my overall humility enhanced drastically. We are all just reminded once again that nothing ever goes as planned and that losing everything including your mind might be necessary to make you realize what a strong, resilient, and galactic species we truly are. Realizing this, I am now more than ever ready to spread love and kindness whilst challenging myself with new adventures that push me out of my comfort zone. There is no other time than the present that truly matters. And in this moment, I am excited to change my reality and the lives of those around me.

“Fall down seven times, stand up eight.” A Japanese proverb close to my heart. It has helped me persevere in so many situations in life and those situations have molded me into the woman I am today. Here’s a brief introduction to who I am. I am a new mommy to an adorable baby boy. A jack of all trades. I’m an artist at heart, fitness enthusiast, avid reader, and quite academic. I was born on the 9th of August in the year 1996 in Elim, a small village in the Limpopo Province. I grew up in Johannesburg and later moved to Pretoria in 2006 when I was in Grade 4, where I completed the rest of my school career. I have always been a very dedicated student. I finished school as a top student in my Matric year (2014) in Hoerskool Silverton. Ideally, I thought that I would finish university in record time, but it seems I had a few lessons to pick up along the way. I began my studies at the University of Pretoria but sadly dropped out due to academic and financial exclusion and so I continued the rest of my year as a freelance tutor to make some money and figure out my next move. During this time I found that I work quite well with young kids and have enjoyed tutoring ever since. I returned to the said university again and hit the financial exclusion wall yet again, so I went ahead and tried out a learnership in the automotive industry, for a year, where I earned a stipend. This encouraged me to go back to school and try part-time (Yes, I do not give up easily!) Presently, I am currently pursuing my degree in Mechanical Engineering through the University of South Africa (UNISA). I have always been one to participate in almost every extra-mural activity since my primary school years, I played softball, hockey, and cricket. I took part in cross-country and district athletics to name a few. My love for sports made me gravitate towards what I currently do part-time, I train on a regular basis, and I am a wellness coach and a distributor for a prominent nutrition brand. A large part of what I do involves helping people correct their nutrition and learn more about the benefits of healthy eating so that they can lead a healthier lifestyle and feel great while they are at it. I have been involved in various projects that involved giving back to those in need. I have been involved with an initiative called Feed a Homeless Homie, where we made food for the homeless and distributed it at least one weekend a month, I also helped a friend of mine with a pads drive for less fortunate girls, I also give clothes to homeless shelters for women and children whenever I can and I worked with an NGO known as Keep That Gold Shining (KTG) where we tutored young kids in high schools in the townships. I am a philanthropist at heart and believe that even the smallest contribution goes a long way. As mentioned, I am also an artist, mostly self-taught. I do painting on commission as well as pencil sketching. I do not have a specific style as yet, but most of my work features women from different walks of life. I would like to collaborate with more artists in the future and have exhibitions. I try to read at least one book a month. My favorite writers have always been James Patterson and Dan Brown, however I recently branched out to other genres besides suspense and thrillers. Some of my latest reads are: • Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki • Atomic Habits by James Clear • The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho • Half of a yellow sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie • No Longer At Ease by Chinua Achebe I can speak at least 6 of the 11 official languages, I am fairly tech-savvy. I am a quick learner, always willing to pick up a new skill. Life has thrown several curveballs at me and I never backed down. I strongly believe in working hard and not giving up on anything I do. My name means ‘Be Strong’, that is who I am!

“The key to unlocking complexity, is simplicity itself” This is the lesson that I have learned time and time again, not just in business, but life as well. Hence my perspective, in that we can complicate life or take a pragmatic approach. I grew up in a single parent household, with my father and younger sister, uncommon in my community whereby most single parent would be one’s mother, but this has shaped my thinking…not everything is what it seems. Firmly believe that personal and moral growth is a direct consequence of uplifting communities and protecting the vulnerable. Recently, I was the MD of a rural firefighting programme and still remains one of my passions in terms of assisting underserviced communities. I’ve worked in television, mainly satellite broadcasting, the South African revenue service, back into broadcasting, then firefighting and now green economy initiatives including a component of green building construction and manufacturing. Personally, an avid motorcycle enthusiast as well as a proponent of animal welfare. As you will notice from my pictures, motorcycles and pets. Right now, we have 10 pets, 4 dogs and 6 cats. All are adopted and some rescued, save for the German Shepherd.

I empowered myself by studying and finishing a Certificate in Banking, after which I registered and obtained a Higher Diploma in Banking, specialising in Treasury and International Banking. I want to promote this talent and creative output, especially of local people. I am a hard worker, good organizer, very good with numbers, energetic and responsible individual. I started my schooling with a desire and passion to make an impact to every situation encountered. Education has taught me that the world of work does not need greater minds, but the determination and desire to what one does. In both my academic and professional life, I have been praised as a hard-working individual by my lectures and peers. Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, I apply proven teamwork, the best customer service and critical thinking skills. I’m a very spiritual person who is passionate about the well-being of others. I find this skill is especially helpful when dealing with new clients or even strangers when meeting for the first time. What inspires me most is the ability to positively impact the lives of others through the plethora of skills I have acquired over the many years of experience. I have the ability to add value wherever I am placed. I am energised by strategy, new challenges, and the search for the most efficient and impactful solutions. My career began in education. As an educator I enjoyed the children. I know this will always be part of who I am as I will always be passionate about teaching and will continue sharing knowledge, mentoring, and coaching, etc. I ventured into the corporate environment as I excelled with my financial skills and thought that my career would entail the chartered accountant route. I did the required academics, got the job and my focus was numbers and more numbers. Again, I was challenged because my love for people was not satisfied. I once again did a complete change in my career by studying, job shadowing and taking on projects in the learning and development and human resource departments. One of my memorable periods was asking the CFO of the organisation to give me the opportunity to split my job in two areas to show my capabilities and therefore be considered for a position that was eventually created for me. This was exciting and I thrived in this environment. I felt like I was adding value as the position focused on the growth and development of the youth, once again. I knew that I could accomplish more and add more value through venturing out on my own. I started my own business which offers the services of learning and development, strategy, human resources and finance. This has been an exciting journey with many challenges.

I have been involved in the music industry for the better part of my life. As a performer and creator, I have had the opportunity to entertain many people over the years. I have a great passion for music and the arts in general. As an avid reader, I take great pleasure in immersing myself in the prose of those who are highly skilled in the literary arts. This stood me in great stead when I embarked on a course in Journalism a million years ago. Although I never completed the course, certain skills have stuck with me to this day. My journalistic endeavour was eclipsed by my musical passion. A passion that has given me much joy and also lead to much heartache. Nonetheless, being a staunch collector of music, it wasn’t long before I utilised this collection, and branched out into spinning records on dance floors around the country. Having grown up in Cape Town, South Africa, in the 80s, I was embroiled in the struggle for freedom. Battling the apartheid regime. This struggle, which was so much a part of everyday life, gave me a sense of something bigger than myself. A sense of community and belonging to something that was more important than my own personal well-being. Generally speaking, I would like to believe that I am an artist at heart. When I say that I don't mean that I like to draw or paint or any of the other physical manifestations of art. What I mean is that I approach life as art. If that makes any sense. I am the proverbial Jack of all trades. Master of a few. I think my biggest asset is that I am always willing to learn. That is something that I intend to keep doing until the last breath escapes my body.

Born and raised in South-Africa by a single mother in humble surroundings. Doing Taekwondo for years and attained my International black belt with the following principles, this was a part of my childhood that guided me into my adult life: Showing courtesy to others no matter what level of society labelled them; training continuously whether I was up for it or not; showing integrity, even when no one was watching; perseverance when I wanted to give up; self-control when it was difficult to compose myself and learning from my couch to have an indomitable Spirit. Finishing school it was expected of me to follow in the "Afrikaaner Man's" footsteps to have a job where you work many long hours a day, week in and week out, get your salary, sleep and repeat. My passion for music gave me the confidence to follow my heart and to head towards Cape Town for a short holiday, but I ended up staying here and studied for Audio Engineering, whilst completing my studies and gaining experience in the industry. COVID-19 affected the industry drastically and I had decided to use my spare time productively by enrolling in courses such as Social Media marketing and Programming. I also started a small business where I rent out my sound equipment and host small gatherings and events. Helping friends with their business promotions and seeing how people enjoyed the events I have hosted, it made me realize that I have a passion to better others and their circumstances. Following my dreams against all odds lead me to where I am today and to appreciate every single moment by not wondering about the past or worrying about the future. Focusing on the task at hand and having it complete well within the deadline is what I strive to achieve and I love learning and gaining knowledge along the way to further myself in everything and anything I get the opportunity for. I am ready for new challenges and know that having a healthy work balance will help me to reach my full potential.

I would consider myself a mix of both introverted and extroverted. I love being around and working with people, but I also enjoy my own company. I’m also very family orientated. Family is everything to me! My passions are a mix between working with/building fruitful relationships with people whether it be in the workplace or day to day life, I love helping people and bringing out the best of those around me. Outside of that, I also love doing anything to do with being outdoors. I’m always up for an adventure such as hiking, camping or even just a walk along the beach. I’m also passionate about and absolutely love animals. I’ve done horse-riding practically my entire life and it’s so therapeutic for me, to just get out into the country and get my mind off everything going on. I was born in Johannesburg, but lived the majority of my life in the beautiful mother city known as Cape Town. I’ve never got the chance to travel outside of South Africa, however it is something I have always wanted to do and I know I will accomplish in the future. In the meantime, there’s actually so many parts of my own country that I haven’t even experienced yet, so I’d love to start there. My work life has involved various industries, starting off with retail and moving on to the sales environment, both internal and external. I could say I had a certain plan for my life and career, but that all changed when I unexpectedly fell pregnant with my son. I then went from being an independent, carefree person to spending the last few months staying at home with my child. Which has honestly been life changing and I wouldn’t change a thing! However, it’s now time to get back into the working world and do everything in my power to give my son the life he deserves and one I wish I had growing up.

I am a firm believer in serving others and I do that with no motives, other than to be a memory in their lives that brought hope and a new determination. Since then, travelling has become my passion.

I was born in Port Elizabeth (now Gqeberha), South Africa. I’m an outgoing person who is both introverted and extroverted depending on who I’m with. I enjoy meeting and interacting with new people because I believe this is how you learn and grow as a person. I’m forever looking for new adventures or challenges. I’m a go-getter, never afraid to fail because we learn more from our failures and build character from them. I believe one is never too old to learn something new things. “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks” doesn’t apply in my life. I enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking, which has exposed me to some of the most beautiful hiking trails in South Africa. I also love taking game drives and explore our nature, especially the animals in their natural habitats. I haven’t had the opportunity to travel beyond the borders of my country. Hopefully one day I’ll travel the world, meet different people and get to experience diverse cultures and cuisines. I had dreams of becoming a medical doctor, but due to financial difficulties, I settled for a National Diploma in Biomedical Technology. At least I got to work in the medical environment with doctors and other medical personnel for about 5 years. I realised that working in a laboratory was not suitable for my personality because I love people, I enjoy interacting with different people. I enrolled for a Diploma in Marketing and that led me to the pharmaceutical industry where I combined both my medical background and the marketing qualification. I worked in Sales and Marketing departments. I also had the opportunity to turn my passion for fashion into a business adventure and started my online clothing store, which was a very exciting and challenging adventure. I learned a lot about importing and e-commerce. When motherhood happened and I took a break to become a stay home mom. I got involved in fitness and nutrition business. I realised that the entrepreneurship bug has got me and needed to empower myself to avoid mistakes I made in my previous business adventures, that is when I decided to register for a BCom degree in entrepreneurship via Unisa, which what I’m currently busy with. I am also teaching English as a foreign language online on a freelance basis. I plan to also learn one or two foreign languages as I plan to travel the world in the not-so-distant future. I’m excited about the future and learning more in this university of life.

My Bio will tell you about my past and present. The past is important, but nothing is more important as the present ME! The Beautiful and strong ME! The ME that makes the people who know and love me happy to be in my presence, the present me is what matters. My values and morals and my way of thinking are what is important, the past was just the "making of", the preview one see's of movies and series, the past is an ancient scroll where most of my life is narrated by my parents, teachers, siblings and the other significant people who come and go from one's life, My present is the true picture of what I am and who I am so let me give you insight into who I am: I am a straight talker, yet I am loving and a helpful person who is always willing to learn new things, I follow rules only when it makes sense and is fair. I was born to a mixed-race couple in the "old South Africa (during apartheid)" while the political climate was unstable and in its rebirth stage, my mixed-race background has made me culturally rich. Ancestrally I come from a diverse lineage, I have a Scottish and Irish father, a mother with little french a little Indian (Afghan and Pakistani), I have a little of everything, which has made me the odd one out as I look different from the rest of my family, I do not fit in with the brown people, I do not fit in with the white people and there is nothing wrong with that I do not need to be labeled to feel like I belong, I am one of the reasons why our country is known as the rainbow nation a mix and mashed beautiful product of all that is good. My personality and likes have made me the odd one out and the weird one, luckily my husband is just as weird as I am, I always tell him my weird matches his weird, it makes us a perfect match, we were made for each other destined to be together almost as if it was written in the stars, a destiny fulfilled with a happy future in the ahead of us. Happy and together forever and always, I still find it hard to believe that there is someone out there who not only gets me, who understands me, my way of thinking, and the way I view the world but most importantly who LOVE'S ME for ME! I consider myself spiritual and not religious, although I was raised catholic and attended a convent, where a lot of who I am today was made. The making of ME! The Sisters of Mercy and catholicism had the opposite of the intended effect on me, I am not deeply rooted in the catholic faith, even though I had many lovable and amazing teachers and friends who made my school days worthwhile. Religion does not make sense to me and I consider much of it to be untrue, designed and shaped to manipulate and to rule the masses or one could say those who prefer not to think for themselves who would rather be sheep and led to the slaughterhouse willingly. My philosophy is this: as long as I love myself and my neighbor, I believe I'm living the right way and try to instill those principles and values in my two sons. I believe that knowing and giving Love encompasses all the values needed to live a healthy life, Love naturally breeds, respect, forgiveness, and mindfulness. Love means living from the heart when one lives from the heart it naturally voids the ego, the ego destroys the manically malevolent whereas the heart creates and builds, Love is a tool with which one can build a life rich in emotional health, enlightenment, and mental stability. Love is my church, love is my essence and if ever I am in doubt I read up on the writings left to us by all the great masters, Jesus, Muhammed, Buddha the Dalai Lama and so many more masters, some of whom are more modern and still living and basically all their writings convey the message of Love. So this me and there is more to me than what is written here, but what is written here is more than enough to get to know me better.

I am a 26-year-old woman, born and raised in Johannesburg, where I have lived my entire life. One of my biggest aspirations is to travel across South Africa and eventually the world. Although I was bred a city girl, my heart lies at sea. Another one of my aspirations is to own a home along the South African coast, within walking distance to the beach. I have been known as a bookworm since childhood. I always preferred to have my nose in a book rather than watching cartoons, hence my passions are reading, writing, and editing. Taking my love for books into account, I decided to study English literature, linguistics, and journalism. I have a great love for animals, and I currently have four dogs and a cat. I also love being out in nature. I am always keen to go hiking, take a trip to the beach, or take the dogs for a walk in the park. Another one of my interests is fashion. I have my own sewing machine and often create clothing for myself. I believe we are all responsible for our actions, and we decide where we want to go in life. I think if you want to do something, and you believe you can do it, you can. All you have to do is put in the effort. Nothing comes easy, but if you put the work in, you will achieve your goals and be anything you want to be. This is something I live by. I also think that building relationships and being able to work with others is extremely important. Succeeding in your endeavors often depends on how you work with and treat people, not just on what you can accomplish on your own. I have only started my journey, but I am looking forward to experiencing new things, building good relationships, and making the most out of every situation or opportunity.

Born and bred in beautiful Cape Town, mom to a long-awaited, witty, (inherited from me of course!), amazing, lively little 5-year-old girl, 2 dogs and 2 cats, 'my rescue children'. Married to Tomy, a senior digital content producer hailing from Tennenbronn, Germany. He is as introvert as I am extrovert – the scale balances beautifully. In my spare time (which is limited!) I sketch, paint, and try my hand at baking, while completing a mini-thesis in psychology. University after high school was not an option. I am also a seasoned HR professional, with a passion for people and process, building and maintaining great relationships form the foundation of both who I am, and what I do. And it’s a solid foundation. Hailing from the Pharmaceutical industry, I entered the world of investments about 14 years ago, where after joining as Office Manager, I moved into HR and have been in the HR sphere since. My journey has taken me on many a bumpy road, however, being a glass-half-full type, seasoned by an interesting childhood, and a solid determination to rise above, I march smilingly on. I have a passion for order, automation and software which could aid in optimization, easing transitions and processes. I am resilient with great sense of humour, always welcoming a challenge. I have a firm belief that building and nurturing relationships are paramount to success. I love meeting people and building relationships come naturally to me. I believe it’s the level of connection that counts. I am passionate about my work, I love what I do, and I do it well. I believe that doing what you love is a privilege. Yet, I still long for something more philanthropic in life. To give back, be it ever so small. Being an eternal optimist and peppered with life’s-experiences, I have been shaped into the person I am today. Pragmatic, passionate, and humble. An enormous amount of grit coupled a with good dose of grace! I am not done growing yet, not by a long shot, there are too many interesting, inspiring people to meet along the way, and there is always something to learn and something to contribute in life. It’s the journey that counts and I enjoy every step.

I am passionate about my work. Because I love what I do, I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best. In my last job, this passion led me to challenge myself daily and learn new skills that helped me to do better work. I am ambitious and driven. I thrive on challenge and constantly set goals for myself, so I have something to strive toward. I’m not comfortable settling, and I’m always looking for an opportunity to do better and achieve greatness. I am highly organized. I always take notes, and I use a series of tools to help myself stay on top of deadlines. I like to keep a clean workspace and create a logical filing method, so I’m always able to find what I need. I find this increases efficiency and helps the rest of the team stay on track. I’m a people-person. I love meeting new people and learning about their lives and their backgrounds. I can almost always find common ground with strangers, and I like making people feel comfortable in my presence. I find this skill is especially helpful when kicking off projects with new clients. A little about myself... I grew up in the Kruger National Park and spent most of my days playing with the baby animals. My favourite part of the day was going down to the rehabilitation center to feed the baby elephants. The saddest was at night, when you could hear them cry for their mothers. My favourite memory occurred on a late summer night. My nephew, my brother and myself went down to the local swimming pool to cool down abit. We enjoyed a wonderful night and eventually started getting our things together to head home. Upon reaching the gate to get to the car, we realised that we were trapped inside. There was definitely no getting out for a while, as a pack of wild dogs decided to inspect the car and take a nap right next to the gate. That's where my fascination with predators came along. At one point, our neighbors even had a pet lioness! As you can gather, I LOVE the nature. Always expect the unexpected! I'm also an accident magnet... I'll find that one brick that isn't level and trip over it. Once, I even straight up walked into a lamp pole at Spar. The poor old lady in the car in front of us didn't know whether to laugh or ask if I was okay ! I'm very outspoken and I'm not shy to admit my faults. Basically, I'm an open book. What you can't see, I'll gladly tell you all about it.

I am a positive, happy person who loves all aspects of my life. I love the beach, animals and children. I am a people’s person. I grew up in the Kruger Park and that is where my love for animals and people comes from. Love working with people from all over the world. I have three beautiful children and an amazing mom whom I adore. I received the most precious gift of all very recently when I was blessed by becoming a grandmother. Like most young people and since I can remember, I had a dream… I just wanted to be a teacher when I grow up. Like a lot of young people, I did not have the means to pursue my dream. At the age of sixteen, I started working in the Kruger Park tourist shop as a cashier during school holidays. Naturally, when I matriculated and because I could not attend a college or university to study what my heart desired, I started working for SANParks. I worked in different departments from the tourist shop to finally being promoted to year in advance bookings at SANParks head office. I will always want to be a teacher in my heart, but never will I be disappointed for the foundation I had. Working for SANParks gave me the opportunity, confidence and knowledge to work with tourists from all over the world. They had a huge hand in the way I see people and the quality of work I offer. I will always be thankful. I am a loyal, loving, understanding, empathetic and kind individual. I learned a lot about people over the years. People tend to confide in me and I am a very good listener. I can solve problems easily because people listen to me and usually follow my advice. It makes it a lot easier to solve problems in the work place concerning personnel and clients too. I have a sixth sense about people and it usually turns out to be spot on. The way in which I treat people, they will follow my orders without question. I learned a lot during my years working for different companies and working in different departments and environments. I know how to handle myself and every situation and challenge I am faced with. I am hard-working and not afraid to learn new things. I am a quick learner and I always follow through on everything I do. Even if it is a new challenge, I have to tackle and always give a hundred and one percent doing everything that has to be done. I am not afraid to walk the extra mile and to do everything to the best of my ability. I gained a lot of professional work experience. This includes... working as a reservations officer, receptionist, personal assistant, bookkeeper, financial administrator, school tutor and even running my own business for several years. I loved all the careers I pursued, but my favorite by far was the work I have done with clients. It would be a honor and privilege to invest the experience I have gained and the skills I have mastered into your company and to share it with the world.

I was born in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, but raised in Jozini, Kwa-Zulu Natal and a Diver at heart. School Holidays were spent on the beach and in the ocean at Sodwana Bay. My Passion for acting started at a young age when I was approached by my arts teacher to play the lead as “Joseph” in that year’s school play, “Joseph and his technicolor dream coat”. In 2006, I moved to Saldanha bay Naval Base to conduct my basic training and upon completion, reported to Simon’s Town Naval Base Diving Centre. I worked at the Naval Diving Centre until mid- 2007, but reported for duty aboard SAS Spioenkop (Naval Warship) later that year and for the rest of my stay in the SA Navy. I resigned from the SA Navy at the end of 2009 to further pursue my childhood passion for acting, after it had been re-ignited back in 2007, when a Production Company came to shoot the one part series, “Diver’s Down”, at the Naval Diving Base where I was stationed. Since then, I performed numerous small roles in Films and TV Shows with goals and aspirations to become a successful actor in the industry. Years later and struggling in the industry, I started a Photography business in 2017 shooting headshots for actors in the industry and also specializing in Real Estate Photography. I also worked in the hospitality industry during this time, working my way up to head of staff at a fine dining Italian Restaurant in the Bellville area of Cape Town. In December 2018, I made the very hard decision to hang up my Actor’s hat and retire from the industry, as I needed to make a change. So with a fire in my belly and a pursuit of a new career, I embarked on an old passion within the boating world. I completed my Yacht Master Coastal and SAS Day Skipper certificate followed by a plane ticket to Nice, France. I spent a month walking countless amounts of steps that would make “Discovery Vitality” proud on the docks of the various harbors, handing out my CV in an attempt to book work as crew on board. With a few days worth of day work under the belt and finally booking an interview for a possible crew position, my visa expired and I needed to come home. Luckily, I was being strongly considered for a position aboard, but I needed to wait for the boat to come out of the drydock. With this, I flew back to SA with a hopeful heart, knowing that I would soon return to France. As things go, the opportunity was cancelled (Owner preferred a merger of the two available roles and he preferred a female). What to do now? Unemployed and with depleted finances of not being able to return, I started looking for work and was unemployed until Sept the same year when I finally got an opportunity to begin work as a Junior Site Supervisor for a Construction Business (not ideal, but hey challenge accepted and gotta pay dem bills son!). I have since then worked for the same company, building weigh bridges, expanding warehouses, pouring concrete floors and laying paving. I have learned so much and have grown allot since then. Recently I approached and dusted off my photography equipment again and am in the process of starting this up as well. Being in the construction industry has sparked allot of ideas and have given me a new passion for real estate, especially as an Investor. People tend to describe me as ambitious, hardworking, punctual and goal-oriented. I have high attention to detail and work really well in both a team environment and on my own. I am proactive, a problem solver and creative at heart. I won’t stop until the project or task is completed. More personally, I enjoy the outdoors, love being fit and healthy and spending my off time with my most valuable assets; family and friends. Short term goals: – To learn and grow the new skills required to perform given tasks efficiently and with excellence. -To prove myself a valuable asset, as a hardworking, dependable and trustworthy individual to my fellow colleagues, managers and seniors. Long term goals: -To become one of the best in my department and be seen as the go-to guy for a specific job or task. -To become manager and coach to younger generations looking to enter my industry. -To eventually run a team of managers, teaching them to effectively run their teams with excellence. I believe in serving others with excellence. The effort you put in will reap the results you desire. I also believe that being truthful, respectful and trustworthy are very important keys to success and I strive to live by these principles daily.

I am passionate about my work. Because I love what I do, I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best. In my last job, this passion led me to challenge myself daily and learn new skills that helped me to do better work. I am ambitious and driven. I thrive on challenges and constantly set goals for myself, so I have something to strive toward. I’m not comfortable settling, and I’m always looking for an opportunity to do better and achieve greatness. I am an excellent communicator. I pride myself on making sure people have the right information because it drives better results. Most business issues stem from poor communication, so I feel a responsibility to keep everyone on the same page. I am results-oriented, constantly checking in with the goal to determine how close or how far away we are and what it will take to make it happen. I find this pressure inspiring and a great motivator for the rest of the team. I am highly organized. I always take notes, and I use a series of tools to help myself stay on top of deadlines. I like to keep a clean workspace and create a logical filing method, so I’m always able to find what I need. I find this increases efficiency and helps the rest of the team stay on track, too. I’m a people-person. I love meeting new people and learning about their lives and their backgrounds. I can almost always find common ground with strangers, and I like making people feel comfortable in my presence.

Hi, I’m Nomadic Matt, a New York Times best-selling author of How to Travel the World on $50 a Day and Ten Years a Nomad as well as the founder of this website! Over the past eleven years, I’ve helped millions of people answer those questions and travel more for less with time tested and proven tips and advice. By using this website, you can spend less time searching the Internet and being overwhelmed with information and more time doing the one thing you want to do: travel more. Growing up in Boston, I was never a big traveler. It just wasn’t something my friends or family did. I didn’t take my first trip overseas until I was 23. After college, I got a job and the standard American two-weeks-a-year vacation. For that first trip in 2004, I went to Costa Rica. The experience changed my life. It opened me up to all the possibilities the world had to offer. There, I experienced another culture, wildlife I had only read about in books, new foods, got lost in a jungle, saw conservation projects in action, and met people from around the world. I was the captain of my own ship and every day was new and different. From that moment on, I was hooked on travel. The following year, a trip to Thailand opened my eyes even more. There, in the wonderful city of Chiang Mai, I met five backpackers who showed me that I didn’t have to be tied down to my job or be rich to travel. They were five people who were living my dream of traveling full-time. I wanted in. I wanted to do what they were doing. After that trip, I flew home, finished my MBA, quit my cubicle job, and, in July 2006, set out on an adventure around the world that continues to this day. Since then, I’ve traveled to over 100 countries and territories, traveled hundreds of thousands of miles, slept in over a thousand hostels, tried weird food (including fried maggots), made lifelong friends, learned multiple languages, and, most importantly, made it my mission now to help travelers like YOURSELF to realize YOUR travel dreams the same way those five backpackers helped me realize mine.

Our wonderful green story began in 2009, in the biodiverse corridor of the Umgeni River Valley. Partnering with eThekweni Municipality, our work with the local communities drove our early eco-programme approach. Over time, our Green Corridor hubs emerged across river, ocean and land ecosystems within Durban. They have become our incubators for ground-breaking social and environmental initiatives. Our collective focus has been on youth and sport development, open space management and restoration, and eco-tourism and learning. We’ve generated a growing portfolio of what we call Purpose-Projects, all concentrated on driving local sustainability, creating balanced habitats, and building community resilience. Our story transcends the constraints of wards, borders and regions. We’ve achieved that by embracing eco-system thinking, and highlighting the interdependence of communities with nature. The renaming of Durban Green Corridors to Green Corridors speaks to this, and is a significant step in our organisation’s evolution. We work tirelessly to make connections between what we’ve learned from our local partnerships, to the neighbouring regions and beyond. At Green Corridors, our purpose and ethos makes us strong partners and agents for the realisation of vibrant, sustainable and economically integrated communities. Plunging into a new culture and experience a different way to see the world is one of the key learning aspects of our volunteer program. Living in a new and non-familiar environment and working in a Zulu community in South Africa is part of that unique and requires a special amount of courage. Green Corridors aims to engage young people from various countries in our community development programs around Durban. It is a highly beneficial learning experience for both the volunteers and the community. You as a volunteer will learn a lot about yourself and it gives you the chance to develop cross-cultural communication skills. Further, by sharing your skills and contributing to community based projects, locals get the chance to expand their knowledge and learn from you. Become a volunteer for Green Corridors for a life-changing experience!

Hi there! My name is Noraly Schoenmaker and I’m a 31-year-old, Dutch, solo-female traveler - currently on a mission to travel the world by motorbike! I blog about my travels at Itchy Boots. It all started when I went to Australia at age 23 to work in gold mining. I became rich and traveled around the world for 2 years straight. Completely broke, homeless and jobless, I returned to Holland. The next 5 years I worked for an international contractor on big ships all over the world, from Kuwait, Kazakhstan to the Bahama’s and beyond. But even though I saw a lot of the world, it wasn’t the same as full-time travel... So I quit that job and sold all my stuff - to be on the road again! This time I’m traveling by motorbike, which is just the BEST adventure!

My name is Luis Guillermo Castro Martin. I am a philosopher specialized in philosophy of mind and language. In particular, I am interested in the nature of consciousness, and the way in which we experience and interpret the world. I started my studies at the Central University of Venezuela in 2006, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in philosophy (2011) and a master’s degree in logic and philosophy of science (2015). In 2012, the university offered me a position as a professor of philosophy and I taught several courses there until 2017, when I enrolled in a PhD program at the University of Genoa, Italy. I have also published several papers in philosophy journals and participated in various international events. In 2020, while writing my PhD thesis, I realized that I had been immersed in philosophy for too long and decided to use my experience to rejoin the real world. In my years studying philosophy, I have learned many things, but the most important is that the world is what we make of it, there is no ultimate truth, no final word. We create our reality. Knowledge has somehow separated us from others and nature, perhaps it can also reunite us. Although I was born in Venezuela, my family is a blending of different nationalities and traditions. I have lived and studied in different countries, which are all part of who I am and what I want to be. My actions define me, not my nationality or my origins. I do not believe in borders or limits; they are only in our minds. The sensation of not belonging can be liberating, once we realize that, by not belonging somewhere, we belong everywhere. I speak three languages (Spanish, English, and Italian) and I enjoy learning from other cultures, as well as transmitting the values of my own. I also enjoy music, sports and nature. I am the author of “Fragments of Mind” on Substack. A space for thinking outside the box, while discussing philosophical matters.

If you’ve found yourself in a difficult head-space of late, unsure of the way forward in these turbulent and uncertain times, COVID repeatedly hurling unwelcome curved balls at you, too many to count and at this stage, you're not sure you can muster the energy to hit them? There is work to be done, but the framework is there for you to build a stable residual income, earning in Sterling. Take a look at one of my profiles (below), a directory listing for one of these initiatives. This will give you an idea of the kind of work you’ll be doing (as a freelancer) If you plug in, go the distance and complete the selection process. If it's not for you... so be it - just know I've said YES to this opportunity for both personal and financial growth ‘cause I’ve got some BIG dreams to pursue! I am an extrovert, not shy to shine, unafraid to lead. I have entrepreneurial vision but pragmatism and circumstance have made for very practical decisions over the last two decades, leaving my dreams shelved, to gather only dust. I have it settled deep within my spirit, the desire to impact lives, in a beneficial way, and to do so, not just at home, but far and wide. I have, for too long, been as a ship anchored, safely in Port. This is not what this ship was made for - I yearn to set sail, to explore the world. The time is near, the winds of change favourable. I have a few projects I’m busy with presently and I’m pregnant with promise and ambition. I am excited and a little anxious at the same time, cautious, but determined… to be able to #Managemybusiness #WorkFromWherever #travel, most of all, committed to move forward into the fullness of my raison d’être. At African Impact, we create the most transformative and impactful volunteer experiences on the planet for communities, wildlife and volunteers. The year was 2004 and a handful of well-traveled people sat around a table in the heart of the Zimbabwean wilderness. With backgrounds in tourism, development and conservation, they knew they wanted to do something great. They wanted to use their passion and skills to start a travel company that made a difference. They wanted to introduce people to the Africa they knew. The people. The wildlife. The magic. When we opened our doors to our first batch of international volunteers, we were a small, family-run organization with big dreams. It didn’t take long to see that there were a lot more people like us. People who wanted to travel while truly experiencing a country at its best, and worst. People who wanted to genuinely connect with the local people and to leave a place better than they found it. We grew and opened new volunteer projects in new countries across Southern Africa. We eventually set up home in the most beautiful city in the world, Cape Town. As the industry grew we recognized that doing the right thing, being responsible, doing good, and still providing travel experiences was, at times, complicated. We grappled with what we were… a travel company? A tourism company? How was the volunteer experience related to the impact they made? The industry was evolving, and so were we. We are incredibly lucky to have an amazing team of people behind African Impact, most who started as volunteers and have been on this journey since the beginning. This is our strength and what has allowed us, over the years, to go beyond volunteering, to focus on what it does best; provide an exchange of ideas and mindsets. We’ve learned that if a community has total buy-in and ownership of a project – and a volunteer is truly informed about their own role and contribution to this – volunteering has the power to transform both a community and a volunteer. That is a beautiful thing and what we witness every day on our projects. Ultimately, our goal is to take volunteering, internships and group travel as far as it can go, combining genuine impacts with extraordinary experiences. Our story isn’t over, we haven’t even scratched the surface. So, learn more about us, ask the right questions and if we’re the right organization for you, we’re excited to welcome you on our journey.

Projects Abroad has spent over 25 years helping our participants fulfill their potential and make the world a better place. In the days before the internet, smartphones and budget airlines, an English University Professor and some overseas colleagues had an idea: What if young people could become international volunteers? They could learn new skills and contribute to communities at the same time. That was over 25 years ago and we’ve never looked back. While plenty of other companies have followed where we lead, we’re still the gold standard in international volunteering and internships. Every Project is built on our commitment to: safety, hassle-free travel and making a real impact. Projects Abroad is a social enterprise, which means we employ a business model to tackle the world’s social and environmental challenges. Our staff are all either in-country locals who we train and support, or ex-volunteers, who have been there, experienced the projects and seen what a difference they make. Our plans for the future are big. We believe that meaningful travel provide a defining experience for young people as they move from adolescence into adulthood, and we know that the work we do transforms communities. We’re making the world a better place, one participant at a time.

I'm a Brazilian native, English Portuguese translator and interpreter with 12 years of experience, 50 books translated, and over 1,500 hours of on-site interpreting work. I also do proofreading, localization, transcriptions, and write book reviews/reports. I have a background in arts, fashion, and communication, and I volunteer for Mercy for Animals, Ted Translators, and NGO Olhar Animal. I love to travel and I am currently studying travel writing. I wrote about my journey as a freelancer and working remotely while traveling the world. So it's been a year since the madness started and somehow it feels like nothing has changed, but A LOT has changed. My 'now' has been staying low-key and wrapping up projects. I completed the book I was translating in the last semester of 2020. Added some very final touches to a book I worked on early-mid last year, which in turn wraps up a project I started working on in December 2018. Excited for it to come out. Also, I guess I can say I reached the 50 translated books mark (even though a part of it was written in Portuguese, so I didn't translate the entire book)! I am still learning French and still feeling like a caveman who can speak single words but not quite put together an entire sentence lol. I also completed a Reiki Level 1 training and initiation course (remotely, ofc) and am now Reiki certified. I am trying to enjoy the little things, like a very rare outing to Rio's Botanical Garden (accidentally picked a lovely 113ºF day, sweet lord), and being in awe of this Sumaúma tree (a personal favorite of Tom Jobim, who would visit the place every day and sit by this exact tree).

Italia che Cambia is a social promotion association and a registered newspaper. We tell, map and network those who produce positive change from below in our country, in a direction of greater sustainability and economic, social, environmental, cultural equity. Italy that changes is a project that wants to tell, map and network that piece of country that, when faced with a problem, takes action to concretely change things without delegating or waiting for someone to do it in his place. It also wants to offer tools to facilitate the positive transformation processes underway in the country with the aim of bringing out the potential of those who "want to change" by providing the example, the know-how and the support of the network of projects already underway. The vision and values that gave life to the Italia che Cambia project are contained in the “Seven Paths” which are therefore the basis for the selection of the realities on the map and the news proposed every day. Seven paths of transition towards a fairer, fairer and more sustainable society. We did not choose the various points from nothing: they were reported to us, told, transmitted by the realities we encountered along the way. We wanted to write them, grouping and organizing them to make explicit the objectives and ideals that move us and that are the basis of our project. They are not points of departure but of arrival. The realities that we tell, that we have encountered and that you can find on the map, while each following its particular path, share this path with us and aim towards the same goal. Moreover, thanks to a work that in 2015 involved over 100 ambassadors and ambassadors, representatives of as many associations, committees, companies, universities, institutions, we have written 17 vision / action documents to change Italy. We have called them Visions 2040 and they integrate, deepen them, the elements that emerge from the Seven Paths. In March 2018, the book "And now you change" was released, which collects the summarized and updated documents, edited by Andrea Degl’Innocenti and Daniel Tarozzi.

Antonio Di Guida is a traveler, writer and photographer. At the age of twenty-two, he started a nomadic life. Leaving his safe haven, he took off for Africa. From this experience he wrote my first travel book "Africa: a muzungu's journey in the savannah". He tells his experience to give readers a boost in leaving those four walls that surround their lives, especially to get closer to a great life experience, volunteering. After Africa, I decided to leave for Australia. In Australia, specifically in Sydney, he worked in a construction company. After six months he bought a van and built a mobile home for it, and then decided to leave Sydney and travel. In that period he had many experiences: from working on farms collecting broccoli and cauliflower, to living for months on an organic farm, learning the art of healthy living between yoga and meditation. Other experiences always lived in the Australian woods and then driving towards the red desert. From this experience his second book Australia was born: Where dreams come to life. After two years, he left Australia to embark on another great journey. A journey through Asia. The journey to Asia began in Indonesia. He has lived in Bali, Lombok, Yogyakarta and in the Newfoundland community located on the island of Sumatra, North Indonesia. With a boat ride, he landed in Malaysia and lived on Tioman Island for a month. Then he moved to Georgetown and lived for a while in a Krishna temple located in Butterworth. He then moved to Thailand, immersing himself in Buddhist culture and religion. Then Cambodia: in this land he taught English in a village school located in Siem Reap. He then went to Vietnam: crossing it from south to north with other public transport. Where he arrived in Laos, then on to Myanmar. In the city of Yangon, he volunteered with an association that helps the terminally ill. Antonio has also travelled to India, Dubai and soon travelled on bicycle through Turkey, Greece and finally back to his hometown Empoli in Italy. After a few months of work in France and other experiences in Europe, in 2017 he decided to take a flight to America. Right now he is still traveling, trying to live for several months in each traveled state, realizing life experiences and volunteering. In Colombia, he once again decided to travel on a bicycle. Antonio is now in South America.
